AMC Health is seeking a Vice President, Quality and Process Improvement to join our advanced leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Quality and Process Improvement leads the organization’s quality, accreditation, and business excellence programs. Supports the facilitation of strategic goal setting, sets standards for quality throughout the organization, and leads the Quality Management Program and all accreditation efforts. Functions as the Company’s Chief Privacy Officer.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain a comprehensive Quality Management program for AMCH that assures all regulatory and accreditation standards are captured and that appropriate performance levels are maintained.
  • Inventory the existing library of Quality and Process Improvement Policy & Procedures and Work Instructions and streamline for efficiency and prioritization giving exiting resources.
  • Develop and execute a proactive Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) regime that determines operations research schedules by department toward the goal of identifying productivity enhancements and process improvements.
  • Develop and manage a process for enterprise-wide quality and process improvement measurement and maintain a dashboard to provide both senior leadership and the entire company with clear metrics on all quality and process improvement variables.
  • Develop and execute a CQI campaign to educate the entire company - on a regular basis – on the criticality of a devotion to quality at all levels and in all operational spheres.
  • Serve as head of the Quality Committee and Policy and Procedure Committee.
  • Serve as HIPAA Privacy Officer and ensure all privacy events are managed according to regulations.
  • Manage the AMCH complaint process according to AMCH Policy.
  • Track all non-conformances and corresponding CAPAs according to AMCH Policy.
  • Oversee the quality assurance program for AMCH’s Software Development Lifecycle, including validation of Intended Use for any new development.
  • Oversee AMCH’s document control process and assist with implementation of document control software.
  • Serve as the Management Representative and as the key point of contact for regulatory authority inspections.
  • Lead organizational accreditation efforts and serves as key point of contact for external audits.
  • Oversee all internal audits by department to ensure relevant Policies and Procedures are being followed.
  • Serve as a member of the executive team and participate in strategic planning at the enterprise level.
  • Develop measurement hierarchy for organization to capture appropriate strategic and management data.
  • Create and maintain the Enterprise Balanced Scorecard.
  • Arrange for and/or delivers regulatory compliance training.
  • Keep current with pertinent regulations, guidance documents, enforcement trends etc.
  • Establish and maintain the quality department’s operating budget.
 

Competencies/Requirements:

  • Demonstrates broad practical knowledge and experience in Healthcare and FDA quality management programs such as ISO, Lean, Baldrige, and/or Six Sigma.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the capability of articulating quality management concepts to all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates strong influencing skills at the executive level.
  • Efficiently manages change and reacts with understanding, perspectives, tools and technique to make change seamless and effortless.
  • Accomplishes tasks by considering all areas involved accurately.
 

Experience/Education/Computer Proficiency Requirements:

  • Minimum fifteen (15) years progressive management experience culminating in an executive-level quality role.
  • Extensive experience implementing and managing an ISO 9001 Quality Program.
  • In depth knowledge of:
    • 45 CFR Parts 160 and 164 (HIPAA privacy and security rules)
    • FDA 21 CFR § 820 Quality System Regulation
    • FDA 21 CFR § 11 Electronic Records; Electronic Signatures
  • Extensive experience establishing and maintaining an auditable FDA quality record.
  • Understanding of process maturity models such as Baldrige and CMMI.
  • Understanding and the deployment of accreditation standards such as URAC and NCQA.
  • Healthcare or life sciences clinical background preferred, but not required.
  • Four-year degree from a college or university; Master’s degree is preferred.
 

Certification Requirements:

  • Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
 

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Requires ability to work effectively from remote home-based office.

AMC Health is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our Finance team. The Finance Team is responsible for ensuring the financial stability and integrity of our company, establishing solid internal controls, policies and procedures. The position reports to AMC Health’s SVP Finance.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monthly closing of General Ledger, preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, analyses and journal entries.
  • Oversees Accounts Payable function, ensures proper coding of expenses, timely payments, developing and monitoring adherence to corporate expense policies, helps manage cash flow and banking relationships, 1099’s, maintain proper documentation and record keeping requirements, assist with research and adoption of any sales/use tax compliance requirements.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Billing function: ensures accuracy and timeliness of invoices sent to customers, maintain collection standards, properly applies payments and resolves discrepancies on a timely basis.
  • Responsible to make sure tax and other regulatory filings are made on a timely basis.
  • Assist with outside audit compliance.
  • Oversees inventory accounting and reconciliations.
  • Serves as backup to Payroll Manager, reviews bi-weekly payroll for accuracy, assists in various compensation cost analyses.
  • Provides support to various departments in providing financial and other data needed on an as needed basis.
  • Serves as administrator for ExpenseWatch, the Company’s vendor/T&E processing software.
  • Other tasks as needed.

The SQL Business Analyst will design, build and maintain our business intelligence platform. He/She will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, including reports for external clients. Essential duties and responsibilities include program design, documentation, and post-production support. He/She will collaborate with internal and external customers and coordinate support from fellow developers who are not necessarily BI experts.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Verify the output of each report and query.
  • Create and maintain process flow diagrams and documents.
  • Document business rules and expected outcomes.
  • Perform data profiling to find exceptions and outliers.
  • Perform ad hoc analytical requests and research projects for internal parties.
  • Create of data flow, database, and process diagrams.
  • Test solutions to validate whether requirements have been met; develop test plans, test scripts, and test conditions based on the business and system requirements.
  • Define business rules and verification strategies.
  • Provide end-user support in post-deployment phases, assessing and evaluating feedback to ensure that the requirements necessary to correct issues are addressed.
  • Assist with the documentation, development, and migration to a new reporting environment.
 

Competencies Required for Position:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL (preferably using SQL Server 2008 r2 or higher), including experience working with procedure SQL (such as T-SQL or P/L SQL).
  • Experience gathering / writing business requirements and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing enterprise level reporting and data validation solutions.
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services, Spotfire, Pentaho or similar a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
  • Experience in requirements management, UAT/ application design, use case development, writing test scripts, training documentation and delivery.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT.

Job Type: Full-time, Weekend

We are hiring for several Nurse Care Manager positions on both the East Coast and West Coast time zones. The Nurse Care Manager is responsible for the telephonic management of complex cases identified for the telehealth program. Remotely assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. Active, current New York license in good standing is required. Would prefer candidates living in a compact state in the northeast time zone. Must have cardiac experience as well as knowledge of care management.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conducts assessments and evaluates biometric and IVR data and trend analysis, and care planning for selected members/patients.
  • Collaborates with the member/patient, family, physician and all members of the healthcare team, internal and external to this organization.
  • Coordinates the delivery of high quality, cost-effective care based on a customized model of care supported by clinical practice guidelines.
  • Advocates for the member/patient and family among various sites to coordinate resource utilization.
  • Interacts with the member/patient, family, physician and healthcare team. Utilizes the case management process to set priorities, plan, organize, and implement interventions that are goal directed toward self-care/long term care outcomes, and the transition to stabilization or independent status.
  • Utilizes “Motivational Interviewing” techniques to influence member/patient behavioral changes to increase the level of compliance with customized care.
  • Encourages client/member/patient participation and compliance in the clinical program efforts.
  • Documents accurately and comprehensively based on the standards of practice and current organization policies.
  • Interacts and communicates, telephonically, using video, or via other technologies to be develop, striving for continuity and efficiency as the member/patient is managed along the continuum of care.
  • Understands fiscal accountability and its impact on the utilization of resources, proceeding to stabilization and self-care outcomes.
  • Evaluates care by problem solving, analyzing trends and variances and participating in the quality improvement program to enhance member/patient outcomes.
  • Performs care management responsibilities as per customer requirements; recognizes urgent situations and escalates issues appropriately.
 

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years broad clinical experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in home care, care coordination and transitions of care, case/disease management, telehealth or related specialty fields which may include Pulmonary, Endocrine, Cardiac, and other populations with chronic multiple morbidities.
  • Basic computer skills such as accessing the internet and navigating from one application to another.
  • Other proprietary technological proficiencies will be acquired on the job.
  • Nursing degree from a college or university. Appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Flexible work hours, evenings and weekends, time scheduling, travel or on call work specific to the care management program.
 

*Registered Nurse License in New York State is required, prefer compact state license; license(s) must be active and in good standing.
