With more than 20 years of leadership experience, Nesim Bildirici has a proven track record of building top-rated management teams world-wide. Prior to founding AMC Health, Mr. Bildirici was co-founder of RSL Communications, Ltd., and a Managing Director for R. S. Lauder, Gaspar & Co., a venture capital fund formed by the Lauder Family of Estee Lauder, where he was responsible for managing the initial investment in RSL Communications. Mr. Bildirici previously was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Columbia University.
Chief Marketing Officer
Kris Knopf is the Chief Marketing Officer of AMC Health. He is a purpose-driven Marketing, Communications and Business Development leader with broad-based expertise leading the development of innovative and effective strategies and integrated campaigns with companies that include Transamerica, USAA, Davis Vision (Highmark) and start-ups. His background includes building value propositions and comprehensive marketing roadmaps for domestic and international markets, while designing and strengthening brand influence.
Chief Technology and Information Officer
Sam Karam brings more than seventeen years of telehealth experience to AMC Health. Prior to AMC Health, Karam worked for Optum, a division of United Health Group, where he was responsible for the development and management of Optum’s telehealth program that currently has over 25,000 active patients. Within his career, Karam was responsible for product management and development at Viterion Telehealthcare, where he lead the system redesign effort that contributed to Viterion’s ability to secure one of the first national Veteran Administration telehealth contracts, as well as implemented a $6M telehealth solution in the United Kingdom.
Executive Vice President, Research & Clinical Innovation
Jon Shankman has more than 25 years’ experience as a research gerontologist, developing and analyzing new paradigms of chronic care delivery for the elderly and disabled across all segments of the care continuum. He is responsible for the design of solutions that weave technology and clinical best practice into virtual care solutions that address a broad array of chronic and acute illness challenges. He also focuses on the application of analytics to support the development of clinical decision support tools. Formerly with the Metropolitan Jewish Health System, Mr. Shankman held progressive leadership positions with that non-profit, geriatric services organization serving the New York metropolitan area.
Shankman holds a Master of Public Health, Gerontology degree, an MBA and a BA, all from Columbia University.
Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Nursing Officer
Johanna Georgilas began her career as a registered nurse, caring for adult and pediatric patients in the hospital and home settings. Ms. Georgilas brings valuable experience to AMC Health from working with innovative healthcare technology companies such as athenahealth, Philips Healthcare, and MEDITECH. Most recently, she led the Clinical Quality Performance team at athenahealth, where she led the organization’s efforts in assisting clients achieve clinical and financial outcomes through participation in value based care and other incentive programs. Previously, she managed all aspects of training and program development for the Telehealth Solutions Group at Philips Healthcare. While at MEDITECH, Ms. Georgilas designed and developed many clinical components of the EHR and then moved on to create an implementation team focused on working with providers and clinical leadership during their implementation of MEDITECH’s inpatient EMR.
Ms. Georgilas earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Simmons College and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from Simmons University School of Business.
Executive Vice President of Sales, Commercial & Government Divisions
Donna Geringer joined AMC Health as Vice President of Health Plan and Provider Markets, leading our business development efforts. Geringer has driven business development, client retention and revenue growth in the commercial, government, payer, and public sector markets for over 25 years. Previously, the Chief Client Officer and Senior Vice President of WebMD Health Services Group, Inc. Geringer held an executive leader position over the Employer, Health Plan and New Business sales verticals. She began her career at HealthLink with a 19-year tenure, working as a critical player in the organization’s growth and status as a major competitive leader in the regional healthcare market. Geringer’s last position at Anthem, was Vice President, Sales where she led three large sales organizations: Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Missouri, HealthLink, and The Epoch Group. Her other key leadership roles include Senior Vice President of Sales and Network Development for Davis Vision (a Highmark company), Head of Sales with Aetna, and KEPRO. Geringer holds a B.S., Business Administration and Marketing from Maryville University Saint Louis.
Senior Vice President of Client Development
Mary Hargadine has been with AMC Health for five years. Prior to that, Mary held VP roles at Walgreens, KEPRO and spent 21 years at Anthem as VP of Business Development and Payer Relations for the non-Blue payer strategies. Mary attended Saint Louis University and also holds a certification in Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University. In April, 2019, Mary completed a three year Lay Ministry Formation Program through the Archdiocese of Saint Louis.
Executive Vice President of Contracting
David Schuster has over fifteen years’ leadership experience in financing of the public and private sector. He has been involved in providing financial oversight to AMC various divisions as Vice President of Finance and is now responsible for all contract related issues of the Company. Schuster has a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Baltimore, an MBA from Johns Hopkins, and passed the National Certified Public Accounting Exam in 1995.
